Dean Connell
Creative Director, I-AM.D.C
Dean Connell is a workspace design consultant and FF&E specialist with over 17 years of global experience delivering inspiring, functional environments. With 3+ million square feet of workspace designed across 15 countries, he brings comprehensive expertise in coworking, flexible workspace, and commercial interior design from concept to completion.
As employee #70 at WeWork (2013-2020), Dean was one of the original designers who pioneered the coworking revolution. He led design teams across New York, Shanghai, Tokyo, Amsterdam and London, where he developed a global FF&E collection comprising 140 unique furniture styles and 66 bespoke pieces.
Dean's FF&E work extends beyond standard specification. He designs bespoke joinery, sources vintage pieces, and develops circular design strategies that aim to reduce waste while maintaining the highest quality.
Notable projects include Old Sessions House in London, a 23-room workspace featuring curated interiors and custom furniture, and his Circular by Design collection—sustainable furniture that addresses commercial waste through durable, repairable and recyclable design principles.
Based in London, Dean founded I-AM.D.C, offering workspace design, FF&E sourcing and circular design consultancy.
